中古のジブリDVDをメルカリでも購入しましたが、2種類とも再生途中で止まります。Amazonで購入のジブリDVD2種類はパッケージともきれいです。数百円の差なら安物買いはやめようと思いました。

こちらの商品は海外版の魔女宅です。
海外ものだとDVD-Playerによっては再生ができない場合もあります。
我が家のDVD-Player（3,000円程度の安価なもの）では問題なく再生できました。PAL方式に対応しているリージョンコード２のDVD-Playerであれば大丈夫のようです。

海外版ですが音声選択で日本語を選べば日本語の魔女宅として見ることができます。
気が向いたら英語音声（＋日本語字幕）にして楽しむこともできます。

ブックオフとかよりだいぶ安かったのでこちらで購入しました。パッケージはキレイでディスクはほんの少しキズがありました。多少画がチラついたり乱れる箇所がありましたが、充分視聴は出来たので中古として許容範囲かなと思います。

(Pal-dvd)魔女の宅急便 (英語版)を購入、予定日より5日早く届きました。
全体的な評価は星5です。
英語勉強用に購入しましたが期待どおりでした。
また、日本語音声字幕なしで見ることもできます。
自分はパソコンで見たので詳細不明はですが、リージョン2だったので日本製のDVDプレイヤーでも再生可能かもしれません。

以下気になる方がいらっしゃるかもしれないので記載しておきます。
・（当然ですが）最初のDVDメニュー（チャプターや字幕などを選ぶところ）は英語表記です。
・DVDメニューでは、音声英語字幕なし、音声日本語字幕英語、音声英語字幕英語、の3つの選択肢があります。ただ、音声日本語字幕英語を選択した後で、パソコンのソフトの機能で字幕オフにしたところ、「音声日本語字幕なし」の状態で見ることができました。日本語字幕は今のところ見つからないのでないかもしれません。
・3，4か所、一時的に画質が悪くなる場面があります。私の機器の故障ではなく、そういう仕様なのだと思います。ただ、合計で1分程度なので、気にならない方は気にならないかもしれません。
・英語吹き替え版だと、松任谷由実の挿入歌はありません。ジジがダンディーな声です。日本語版だと無言の場面でもセリフがあったりします。例えばジジがリリィに初めて近づくときは口説き文句を言いながら近づきます。

どのバージョンにしようか悩んで北米版に。たしかに外国の方のレビューにあるように、bluray版のキキの声はじゃがれて(?)ます。
それでも、気にしなければ普通に聞けるレベルです。
日本語音声は問題なし。
過去のトレイラーも入っているのですが、それと比べるとこのリマスター版は映像も音もとてもきれいに感じます。

I know that with the older movies, they wanted to match the music and dialogue with the originals from Japanese. But I fell in love with these movies starting with this movie on VHS. I was sad to learn the version I had and the one on HBO was the updated versions. I understand the importance but when I put this movie in and heard the missing dialogue and the music that I loved…i actually cried I was so happy!! Thanks for making me feel better while being sick!!

„Kiki’s kleiner Lieferservice“ ist ein eher gediegener, kleiner aber dafür umso herziger Film. Unter der Regie des Meisters Hayao Miyazki erwachte diese drollige Slice of Life/Coming of Age-Mär zwischen 1987 und 1988 in den Ghibli Studios zum Leben. Als Vorbild diente hierzu der gleichnamige Roman „Majo no Takkyūbin“ von Eiko Kadono.

Die Geschichte handelt von der Jung-Hexe Kiki, die nach altem Hexenbrauch, mit 13 Jahren ihr Zuhause verlassen muss um für ein Jahr in der Fremde ihre Hexenfertigkeiten zu perfektionieren. Zusammen mit ihrem treuen Katerchen Jiji bricht sie abenteuerlustig gen Süden auf, wo sie kurze Zeit später in einer malerisch hübschen Bilderbuchstadt am Meer landet. Nachdem sie sich sofort in das romantische Städtchen verliebt hat, beschließt Kiki kurzum dort zu bleiben. Das junge Hexen-Girlie findet aufgrund ihrer Hilfsbereitschaft und ihres kindlichen Charmes auch recht schnell Freunde, wodurch sie auch bald auf die Idee eines eigenen Lieferservices kommt. Und so nimmt Kiki die unterschiedlichsten Lieferaufträge an die sie allesamt mit ihren Hexenbesen ausführt.

Wie schon angedeutet, dieser Film behandelt eher die alltäglichen Abenteuer des Lebens, sowie des Erwachsenwerdens (ein Thema welches des Öfteren in den Ghibli-Filmen zu finden ist). Der Film bietet neben vielen humorvollen Szenen auch ein bisschen die Miyazaki-typische Melancholie sowie auch romantische Untertöne. Der Streifen ist jedoch keinesfalls langweilig, vielmehr fängt einen als Zuschauer das Feeling des Films durch seine goldige Protagonistin, den charmanten Bildern, sowie der romantisch-vergnügliche Score von Composer-Legende Joe Hisaishi ein.

Das bekannte Charakter-Design ist Ghibli-typisch schlicht aber hübsch und ausdruckstark. Die Hintergründe sind unglaublich detailreich und schön gezeichnet, als würde man ein zum Leben erwachtes Gemälde bestaunen. Gerade das Städtchen erinnert doch ein wenig an die Ortschaften rund um die Côte d’Azur (wobei Miyazaki und co sich tatsächlich an Stockholm, Visby sowie Gotland ein Vorbild nahmen). Die Animationen sind, wie für das Studio hinlänglich bekannt, meisterhaft. Optisch ist der Film daher trotz seines Alters ein wahrer Augenschmaus.

Die deutsche Synchronisation kann sich, wie bei nahezu allen Ghibli-Filmen, hören lassen. Klar ist das Original ungeschlagen. Dennoch muss man hervorheben dass gerade Kiki’s deutsche Sprecherin nicht nur stimmlich gut gepasst -sondern auch sonst toll „gespielt“ hat. Dasselbe gilt auch für die restlichen Sprecher und Sprecherinnen (wobei ich den Sprecher für Jiji als einziges als Fehlbesetzung empfinde).

Fazit:

Wer einen Film aller Nausicaä oder Mononoke Hime erwartet wird klar enttäuscht. Der Film geht eher in Richtung Totoro, Ponyo, Chihiro sowie Stimme des Herzens. Ein ruhiger, schöner Familienfilm der viel Wert auf die alltäglichen Dinge legt (selbst bei den kleinsten Details) was ihn irgendwie eine Prise Realismus verpasst. Zudem hat man hinterher immer gute Laune, da die Welt farbenfroh ist und ihre Charaktere positiv gestimmte Frohnaturen sind. Und gerade heutzutage, wo man nicht nur im Alltag von Düsternis und Tristesse erschlagen wird, sondern auch viele Filme und Serien darauf ausgelegt sind „dark“ und „edgy“ zu sein, sind Filme wie eben „Kiki’s kleiner Lieferservice“ eine echte und willkommene Abwechslung.

Definitiv eine Empfehlung für diese zeitlose Animationsperle!

Aspetto e Confezione: Il blu-ray si presenta nel suo tipico astuccio slim blu, contenente il solo disco senza ulteriore materiale informativo o da collezione. Edizione semplice solo disco!

Trama: Kiki è una giovane strega che come da tradizione, compiuti i 13 anni parte da casa sulla sua scopa in compagnia soltanto di Jiji, il suo gatto nero, per l'anno di noviziato da svolgere in un'altra città. Dopo aver superato una tempesta ed aver incontrato un'altra giovane strega ormai al termine del suo tirocinio, Kiki raggiunge una caratteristica cittadina di mare, meta prefissata nell'immaginario della ragazzina fin dalla sua partenza.
Le prime esperienze in città, per lei, che dopotutto è una ragazza di campagna, non sono però positive e Kiki, scossa dall'accoglienza piuttosto fredda e deludente del luogo, si rende conto che forse aveva fin troppo idealizzato quell'avventura tanto attesa da piccola e che probabilmente quella città non era il posto giusto in cui fermarsi. Fortunatamente si imbatte nella gentile Osono, una giovane fornaia che in cambio di un aiuto nel suo negozio le offre un alloggio in cui abitare. Kiki può finalmente mettere a frutto l'unica arte magica che possiede, quella di saper volare sulla scopa, e apre una piccola attività di consegne volanti di pacchi.
Kiki comincia quindi ad inserirsi nel tessuto della cittadina e impara lentamente a distinguere il lato buono che in fondo c'è in tutte le persone. Durante questa sua lenta maturazione, Kiki è talvolta euforica e talvolta depressa con repentini sbalzi di umore, e ne fa le spese il povero Tombo, un ragazzo di città affascinato dal volo, suo coetaneo e suo primo vero amico, che non sempre riesce a capire il carattere difficile della ragazza.
Un giorno però accade un evento apparentemente inspiegabile: la capacità di volare, che Kiki possedeva fin da bambina, sembra svanita. Kiki è disperata e solo allora comincia a rendersi conto di cosa veramente rappresenti l'anno di noviziato: riuscire a trasformare le proprie attitudini e il proprio talento di bambina nell'attività da svolgere da adulti. Qualora avesse fallito, lei non avrebbe avuto più alcun valore. Con l'aiuto di Ursula, una sua amica pittrice, capisce però che la perdita dell'ispirazione o la paura di non essere in grado di svolgere il proprio compito è una cosa naturale e che solo riuscendo a superare questi momenti di sconforto si può crescere e maturare.
Improvvisamente per televisione viene trasmesso un servizio in diretta: un dirigibile ancorato presso la cittadina ha rotto gli ormeggi a causa del forte vento ed è in balia della tempesta. Kiki si rende conto che il suo amico Tombo era salito proprio su quel dirigibile e ora era rimasto aggrappato ad una fune fuoribordo. Mentre il dirigibile viaggia senza controllo sui tetti della città, Kiki riesce a superare il blocco psicologico che non le permetteva più di volare e a cavallo di uno spazzolone finalmente si libra nell'aria per salvare il suo amico.

Qualità video: Buona qualità video, resa cromatica senza troppe pretese, ad ogni modo gradevole alla vista e per niente affaticante. Full HD 1080p 16:9 24 fps, tutto quello che ci si può aspettare da un blu-ray, niente da invidiare ad altri titoli!

Qualità audio: Purtroppo la qualità audio lascia a desiderare, sia per il doppiaggio Italiano sia per la lingua originale Giapponese. Infatti vengono riprodotti da un dts-hd master audio 2.0 non propriamente all’altezza, ma nel complesso non risulta male e in ogni caso si mantiene su livelli accettabili di orecchiabilità. Un punto a sfavore, ma che non intacca affatto l’incredibile qualità del contenuto dell’oggetto.

Conclusioni: Film meraviglioso, degno esponente della filmografia Studio Ghibli. Come sempre vengono toccati e trattati temi importanti, che risultano essere sempre attuali e mai banali. Assolutamente soddisfatto dell’acquisto, conservato gelosamente insieme ai suoi predecessori e quelli che saranno i suoi successori. Come riesce ad emozionarti, prenderti, appassionarti, immergere in quel che vedi e senti, e farti tornare un po’ più piccino di quello che siamo, lo Studio Ghibli, non credo ci riesca nessun altro. Lunga vita!

Ghibli's most popular film comes to Blu Ray. But with one small caveat.

Kiki's Delivery Service was the very first Studio Ghibli movie ever licensed and distributed by Disney and it is still considered by many of us to be one of the very best family movies that has ever been made! So it is nice to see it re-issued yet again in a bluray edition but there is one little caveat that I will get to later.

The story is simple and sweet and utterly charming. Set in a mid-50's type world of black and white TV's, trams and automobiles. It's a world in which witches are completely normal (though rather rare) and on their 13th birthdays; they have to venture out into the world to advance their training and decide how they will use their gifts of magic. And so our plucky heroine ends up in a small city by the sea that hasn't seen young witches in decades. It's quite a revelation for both sides!

It's an utterly wonderful tale of a young girl passing from childhood into adulthood; overcoming her own fears and doubts and of an absolutely wonderful supporting cast from the boy with a crush on her to the baker and his wife who offer her a place to stay. Not to mention the city folk having to come to terms with a young flying witch in their midst!

In fact that's one of the very best parts of this movie; there's really no superhero's or villains in the entire movie. Just ordinary folk going about their ordinary lives. Some are friendly, some are neutral while others may be a little arrogant or even a little rude or greedy but there's nobody who's really bad. And unlike a lot of movies, family or otherwise; there's no villainous plot and no violent ending. Just a wonderful uplifting movie that teaches you don't have to settle things with force and that girls don't always have to depend on a boy to protect them. Unless of course they want him to! It's a perfect family movie especially if you have young girls. (Though boys will love it too.)

Animation is first rate as always and is even better on this Blu Ray bringing out every nuance of the movie's original release. (Though the DVD is pretty damn good as well.) Plus there's a nice little collection of extras (non of which is overly long) that have been carried over from the previous DVD release and the stereo pro-logic track has been bumped up to a DTS-HD 2.0 for the English, Japanese and French tracks. Not that I noticed much difference since the original 1989 film had a very simple audio track.

However, here is where that little caveat comes in. Kiki's Delivery Service along with Castle in the Sky (Laputa) have had two different English Disney soundtracks over the years. The original l998 soundtrack (on the 2005 DVD) which was enhanced with new English opening and closing songs, some boosted sound effects and other musical embellishments where it was quiet on the Japanese release and quite a bit of additional ad-libbing from Phil Hartman's Jiji which considerably livened up the dub.

However in 2010 when the DVD was re-released; Disney revised the English track to adhere more closely to the original Japanese track. This resulted in cutting out the two English songs as well as a good number of the embellishment and crowd comments and as a result this newer version feels slightly more flat to me than the older 2005 version did (though it's still wonderful) and as a result could prove disappointing to some. So when you read a review claiming that the movie has been cut or it's not as good as it used to be; this is what they really are referring to!

So like last years release of the Castle in the Sky BD; some of us feel that the original English dubs of Kiki and Castle should have been kept or at least included along with their newer English dubs so that viewers could get whichever they preferred. As this is one of those rare situations where many otaku feel the original English enhancements actually improved these two movies. And in the case of Kiki's Delivery Service, made a great movie even slightly better! So like Castle if you have and/or loved the original English DVD releases, you may want to hold onto them just in case. Of course if you've never heard the 2003 release of Castle or the 2005 release of Kiki then you won't miss the differences and will be perfectly happy as they're still wonderful soundtracks.

As for the movie itself, despite that little caveat; this is a movie that will still wow you whichever version you watch! Though in a quiet and unassuming way. It's a virtually perfect family movie and I've never seen anyone who didn't fall in love with it at first sight. I consider it one of the top ten family animated movies of all time! 5 big stars out of 5!
