DVD does not match the picture which shows region 0. DVD states format is PAL and will not play on majority of North American players. Seller issued a refund but I had really wanted this DVD. Very disappointing

Having recently acquired the Last Dance (Stirling) dvd and enjoyed it so much I decided to add to my collection by ordering a copy of the Party on the Moor Concert a few years earlier at Muir if Ord.

Wow !!

I didn't for a moment believe that this offering would prove to be as good but perhaps I should have known better !! Yet another 3hours of pure enjoyment was what this concert brought to me with an excellent set list and equally outstanding performances
from the lads (past and present) up on the stage.

Yet again the sound and camera work was excellent and Runrig's film-makers have absolutely "nailed" the art of producing concert footage which gives the watcher the clearest impression of being actually standing there in the audience. The result is that all the raw emotion is completely captured and this in turn has a profound effect upon the watcher. These guys are able to wring out every last drop of emotion from the stage but also from the audience and this only adds to the experience.

Thanks again Runrig for yet another memorable concert and as a 73yr old "technophobe" I'm so thankful that I've got the appliances to enable me watch and listen to all those wonderful gigs in the comfort of my own home !!

Ah yes , before closing , I need to mention that less than an hour ago I ordered a dvd copy of the Year of the Flood Concert which took place amidst "pretty horrific" weather conditions in August 2007 down at Drumnadrochit on the shores of Loch Ness and thanks to Amazon's efficiency this'll arrive later on today.

Once again Runrig show why they are one of the world's great live bands. Reuniting with them for the 40th are Peter Wishart ( former keyboardist for both Runrig & Big Country), and the incomparable vocalist Donnie Munro. On one song Donnie & current lead singer Bruce Guthro sing together & their voices mesh very well. Having accidentally "discovered" Runrig on a PBS World Music show back in the 1990's I have listened to them religiously, even ahead of The Beatles. I even bought a region free, adapted bluray player just so I could watch their Pal format dvds on my NTSC tv. Yep, I kinda like this band, they speak to my soul. Buy this dvd & if you're even a casual fan you wont regret it.

Lo ho aspettato due mesi, ma ne è valsa la pena, i RUNRIG visti una volta dal vivo, rimangono nel cuore e questo Blu ray gli rende giustizia semplicemente fantastico.

Ich habe in den letzten 10 Jahren (vorher kannte ich die Band leider noch nicht) diverse Konzerte von Runrig gesehen (alleine 2 im Hamburger Stadtpark, eine besonders tolle Atmosphäre). Die DVDs zum Konzert in Stirling und die Schlammschlacht vom Loch Lomond laufen hier rauf und runter. Und natürlich musste es auch dieses Konzert sein, diesmal als Blueray. Über die technische Seite müssen sich andere auslassen, da habe ich keine Ahnung von. Abgespielt mit der PS3 auf meinem Samsung-Fernseher reicht mir das alles.

Aber inhaltlich! Hammer! Auch wenn ich nicht dabei war habe ich beim Ansehen regelmäßig Gänsehaut. Alle Stimmungsmacher dabei, auch die leiseren Lieder. Ein Highlight natürlich der Auftritt von Donnie Monroe! Und dann erst die Akustik-Version von "Hearts of Olden Glory" - bis dahin dachte ich noch ich bräuchte mir die CD nicht kaufen weil ich eh alle Songs schon habe. Aber jetzt sehe ich das definitiv anders. Man merkt der Band in diesen 3 Stunden an wie sie diese Party genießen und die Musik lieben. Von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute eine einzige Runrig-Party und dafür liebe ich diese Konzert-Aufnahme von ganzem Herzen!
